Delete your SessionBridge account

SessionBridge is provided by House of Freedom, Inc. to the patients it serves. You do not need the app installed to make this request.

If you need help right now: SessionBridge is not an emergency service and is not monitored in real time. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — para español, presione 2), or call 911 in an emergency.

How to request deletion

Use any one of these. You do not need to give a reason.

What happens when you ask

Two different things happen to two different kinds of information, and it matters that you know which is which.

What is deleted or stopped

What is kept, and why we cannot delete it

Your clinical record is not deleted. What you shared with your counselor through SessionBridge became part of your treatment record at House of Freedom, and clinics are required by law to keep treatment records for a set period — we cannot delete them on request, and neither can you ask us to. This is the same rule that applies to the notes your counselor writes in session.

Records about substance use treatment carry an additional federal protection, 42 CFR Part 2, which restricts who they can be shared with — but Part 2 protects those records rather than shortening how long they are held.

In practice this means your entries stop being added to, and stop being visible to you in the app, but the record of what you already shared stays with the clinic for as long as the law requires. If you want to know what is in your record, or believe something in it is wrong, you have the right to ask — contact the clinic directly.

How long it takes

Clinic staff action requests during normal business hours. If you need it handled urgently, call rather than email.
